I am meeting with a lawyer who is very graciously willing to discuss with me the requirements for filing for a NOT FOR PROFIT status. They aren't sure if they can do the work pro-bono and that is what we need. Please pray that God will continue to make a way where there seems no way.

Mysterious Ways

God works in mysterious ways.
So true.
I received a call yesterday from a woman at a law firm.
She wanted to see if Belli Fiori would be willing to do centerpieces
for a Christmas party this December.
I said I would love to meet with her and I would look at my calendar and call
her back to set up a time. She said we could meet at the law office at 13th and Oak.
It wasn't until I hung up the phone that I realized what a gift this was from God.
A LAW OFFICE people!
How awesome is that!
Not only am I going to discuss centerpieces, I am going to inquire about
getting our NOT FOR PROFIT status up and moving.

Isn't God good in so many wonderful ways?

Talking Sewing Birds

A little bird came to me with the most wonderful idea. And what is even better - is that this little bird can sew!

Let's name the bird - Heatherleigh - shall we?

She will be sewing little cloth flowers that can be pinned on dresses, lapels, etc as a way of showing support for lilies and being fashionable all at the same time.

What is Lilies of the Field you ask?

Simply put - Lilies of the Field is a not for profit organization that desires to bring joy and comfort through fresh flowers. Our mission is to speak love to those who have been hurt, abandoned, and forgotten.

We have already spoken with an abused women's shelter here in KC and they are excited to meet with us about our proposal. We have offered to bring fresh flowers to the women on mother's day as well as their personal birthdays. We are hoping to be able to do this for other shelters as well. And we hope that we won't stop there.

We want to take care of those who are forgotten in nursing homes and hospitals. We want to rejoice with those unwed young mothers who decided to keep their child in the face of difficulty and shame. We simply want to acknowledge each and every person and let them know that they are valuable and recognized.
